3 Cocktails To Try For Dry January

It’s that time of year….Dry January is upon us! Taking a break from booze? Try your hand at mixing up one of these delicious non-alcoholic recipes.

SPARKLING ROSEMARY LEMONADE

In cocktail shaker, add:

1 1/2 oz Rosemary Simple Syrup*

1 1/2 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

Shake with Ice and strain into a highball glass.

Top with soda water or a Poppi Ginger Lime Soda for an extra boost of flavor. Garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of rosemary.

*Rosemary Syrup:

Add 1 cup of sugar to one cup of boiling water. Stir until dissolved. Add 4 -6 rosemary spears for 60 seconds. Then, remove from heat and let stand for about 30 minutes. Strain and store refrigerated in a glass jar.

BLENDED EARL GREY LATTE

In a small saucepan:

Heat 2 cups of vanilla almond milk over medium until it begins to bubble around the edges.

Turn off the heat an add 4x Earl Grey tea bags and steep for 10 minutes. Remove the bags and refrigerate for at least 1 1/2 hours.

Add tea mix, 1 -2 teaspoons of agave or maple syrup, 2 cups of ice, & 1/2 frozen banana (cut into chunks). Blend until smooth

BLIND SERPENT

In a cocktail shakere, add:

1 1/2 oz grapefruit cordial*

3/4 oz fresh lime juice

1/2 oz cucumber juice

2 -3 basil leaves

Shake with ice and double strain into a highball glass filled with ice.

Top with tonic water and garnish with a cucumber ribbon and sprig of basil.

*Grapefruit Cordial:

Add the zest of 3x grapefruits, 125 grams of sugar, and 12 green cardamom pods to a Ziploc bag and press out the air. Refrigerate overnight.

Add 250ml of grapefruit juice and 1 1/2 grams of salt to the bag. Agitate until the sugar is completely dissolved. Strain and store in a glass bottle. This will last for 10 days in the refrigerator.
