Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to everything you book or buy from The Cocktail Camp: bartending certification courses, mixology classes and team events (in person and virtual), private parties, beverage catering, bar consulting, gift cards and products. By booking, enrolling or purchasing, you confirm that you are 21 or older and agree to these terms.

Part 1: Terms for Everyone

Age Requirement

You must be 21 or older to take a course, attend a class or event as a drinking guest, or receive an alcohol delivery. Anyone who looks under 30 must show a valid state or federal ID, with no exceptions. Anyone without a valid ID will not be served.

Payments Are Final

All sales are final and all payments are non-refundable, except where these terms say otherwise. Instead of refunds, we offer credit as described in Parts 2 and 3. If you pay with Klarna or another financing service, your payment agreement is with that provider and stays in effect whether or not you attend.

Health, Allergies & Assumption of Risk

Please tell us about any allergies or dietary needs before your course or event. We'll do our best to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee that any drink, ingredient or kit is free of allergens. Drinking alcohol and working with glassware, ice, citrus and bar tools carry natural risks. You take part at your own risk, agree to drink responsibly, and agree never to drive after drinking.

Responsible Beverage Service & Conduct

We follow all state and local laws on serving alcohol. We may refuse or stop service to, or remove, anyone who is underage, visibly intoxicated, disruptive, unsafe or disrespectful to our staff or other guests, without refund. You are responsible for the conduct of your guests and for any damage they cause.

Photos & Video

We may take photos and video during courses, classes and events and use them on our website, social media and marketing. If you'd rather not appear, tell us in writing before your course or event and we'll honor it.

Our Materials

Our curriculum, recipes, homework, Student Center content and Cocktail Architecture™ system belong to The Cocktail Camp. They are for your personal use only. Please don't record classes or copy, share or resell our materials without written permission.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and can't be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires. Our gift cards do not expire. We can't replace lost or stolen gift cards.

If We Have to Cancel

If The Cocktail Camp must cancel a course, class or event for a reason within our control, we will reschedule at no cost or refund what you paid for it.

Events of Force Majeure

An "Event of Force Majeure" is any circumstance outside the reasonable control of the affected party that cannot be prevented or avoided with reasonable diligence and that materially affects that party's ability to perform under these terms. Examples include fire, earthquakes, floods, extreme weather and other natural disasters; epidemics; explosions, accidents and equipment failure caused by others; war, terrorism, riots and civil unrest; and strikes, lockouts and other labor disputes. We are not responsible for these events. If one occurs, we will keep payments made and apply them as credit toward a future course, class or event within 12 months.

Billing Disputes

You agree to contact us first to resolve any billing concern before disputing a charge with your card issuer or financing provider. We may provide your booking, enrollment and these terms in response to any dispute.

Insurance

The Cocktail Camp carries standard liability insurance. If you would like to add an additional insured to our policy, there is an administrative fee, which must be outlined in your agreement. We may ask certain events to carry additional insurance, depending on the type of event.

Indemnification

Each party agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the other party and its directors, officers and employees from claims arising from that party's actual or alleged act, failure to act, error or omission in performing its obligations under these terms or any governing law or regulation. Each party remains responsible for its own negligence or willful acts.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, The Cocktail Camp is not liable for anything that happens during or after your course, class or event, and our total liability will never be more than the amount you paid for it.

Part 2: Bartending Certification Courses

Enrollment & Tuition

All tuition sales are final. Every course purchase includes a $250 non-refundable deposit. If you can't attend, your tuition becomes credit toward a future course, and that credit holds its value for as long as the school is in business. An applicant rejected by the school is entitled to a refund of all money paid.

Missed Classes

Attending all scheduled class sessions is your responsibility. We do not issue refunds for missed class time.

Special Cases

In case of prolonged illness or accident, a death in the family, or other circumstances that make it impractical to complete the course, the school will make a settlement that is reasonable and fair to both parties.

Completion & Certificate

You will receive your Certificate of Completion once you have met all course requirements, including the final exam, and all payments are complete.

Job Placement

We provide job placement assistance, but no school can promise or guarantee employment. We share the job leads we receive with our graduates. Placement assistance is available once you complete the course. It's your responsibility to contact us and ask for it; if you don't, we will assume you no longer need assistance.

Notice Concerning Transferability of Units at Our School

Units you earn in our basic bartending program in most cases probably will not be transferable to any other college or university in the future even though you earned units here at our school. In addition, if you earn a diploma or certificate in our basic bartending program, in most cases it will not serve as a basis for obtaining a degree at a college or university.

State Registration

We are registered with the State of California. Registration means we have met certain minimum standards imposed by the state for registered schools on the basis of our written application to the state. Registration does not mean we have met all of the more extensive standards required by the state for schools that are approved to operate or licensed or that the state has verified the information we submitted with our registration form.

Part 3: Team Events, Mixology Classes & Private Parties

Booking & Payment

Your date is reserved once you sign your event agreement and pay the deposit. If your event is less than 30 days away, full payment is due at signing. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your event. By booking, you authorize The Cocktail Camp to charge your card on file for the remaining balance and for any day-of additions, such as extra guests, extra time or bar service.

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Credit

Once you book, all deposits and payments are non-refundable for any reason, including cancellation, a lower guest count, late arrival, or guests who don't attend. Instead, we offer credit:

• More than 30 days before your event: you may reschedule once at no charge, and your payments become credit toward a new date within 12 months.

• 14 to 29 days before your event: your payments become credit toward a new date within 6 months.

• Less than 14 days before your event, or if your group does not show: all payments are forfeited.

• Credit has no cash value and cannot be transferred.

Guest Count

Your final guest count is due 7 days before your event. You will be charged for the final count or the number of guests who attend, whichever is higher.

Timing & Location

Events start and end at the booked time. If your group starts late, the event still ends on schedule, and extra time is billed if we can offer it. When we come to your office or venue, you are responsible for access, parking, space and any permits. Delays caused by the location do not extend or reduce the price of your event.

Virtual Events & Shipping

The person who receives a delivery or attends a live session must be 21 or older and may need to sign for the order. Kits ship by UPS or USPS. We can't control shipping speed once a package leaves us, but if a package is late we'll send you a list of backup ingredients before your event. Please allow at least 2 weeks of lead time. Perishables may expire, which is out of our control, and we reserve the right not to deliver alcohol to certain buildings. All alcohol orders are accepted and fulfilled by a licensed local retailer, which is a separate business from The Cocktail Camp.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted when you book or purchase applies to that booking or purchase.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in full effect.

Entire Agreement & Governing Law

These terms, together with your course purchase, event agreement or proposal, are the entire agreement between you and The Cocktail Camp and are governed by California law.
